got a problem with a new starview box, worked fine for a few weeks. but lost all ppv channels. done all the usual things, factory reset, udated the software as per the forum, but still dont get any ppv channels. just keeps updating. All non ppv channels are fine. any one got any ideas please?

u will only list channel but nothing is broadcast only when special events come on line.

do you mean all pay channels as in you only have a few. if so go to menu and press 1570 and press set default key and make sure emu's on and then exit and wait for an update to finish and see if it works.

The box as lost all premium channels, only lets you watch non subscription channels i.e bbc, itv etc

tried the emu, thats on.

exit to s*y sports & let it update.

My mum gets the codes off me when her's goes off. She put the codes in last night. It didn't work but when she went into nagravision code 00 just said FF and key Data just said FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF.

I have done factory reset and put all codes in correct turned key emu on but still it just says data being updated.

Has her box fried or could this be fixed. It is quite an old box but I have one of the old ones too but that one is fine????

have you done what the lads said above?

Tried the above suggestion re the default key, but not changed the outcome.

Just keeps updating gets to 100% and starts updating again.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Afternoon Karl ;) Ted what version of firmware are you using?

alright sc0user and karl. i was kept up half the night due to next door partying and the girls mother was out (and it was TUESDAY night until 5:30 am this morning blaring music) i'm wrecked lol.

@tedbay it sounds like the firmware needs to be updated.

lol, nothing better to do. just because her ma went out. if her ma found out she'd probably kill her lol, and my da had to be up at 6:30 this morning for work. i don't think he'll be happy (or awake) lol.

I have two boxes one works fine, the others got this problem.

aha ted now i think we have the answer to your problem,what firmware did you update this box with?and you say its a new box,are you sure? what does it say on the front of the box?

ted you need to be more specific there are numerous links to firmware on afterdawn, ,also as i asked what does it say on the front of the box

if both boxes are the same ie both say starview on the left hand corner you can do a software transfer, connect them up via a null modem cable,turn the box that you are having trouble with away from the remote on standby,on the good box press menu -user set up -s/w transfer-ok-press ok on code sw.

Sorry if i sounds a bit daft, but the box doesn't have anything other than starview on the box, its an original starview 1.

I thought the link was emo's, but looking at the link on yours it looks different, possible, ive put the incorrect firmware on the box.

ok your not sounding daft just want to get you sorted,if your other box that works ok is also starview 1 do as i suggested in my last post or else you can use this firmware for genuine or clones it will work and autoroll on both click here

have to go out for a while let me no how you get on Ted

Ted it does look like the wrong firmware indeed. Press menu and system info and post exactly what it says.
