My ipod will not take a charge, it just sits there between the apple logo and saying extremely low battery please wait. I have replaced the battery, the charging cable, and have also tried it on multiple machines. It's not under warranty, I don't want to send it in to Apple. I am an electronics tech and have access to parts, can anyone lead me to a schematic or have any input on this? It is a gen 5 Ipod Video. I also cannot reflash it because it does not even charge enough for the computer to see it. It will reset then it tells me to goto the ipod support site, then shuts down. I also cant access any other modes.
