new isp problems

    well here i am again getting something @#$% up ok well i will get to the point i just just bought a new isp "internet service provider" charter u know the cable people with freaking fast internet but the problem is that when they hooked it up they just pluged the Ethernet cord directly to my downstairs computer so i guess he forgot to plug it into my router so i found that out after i tried to play mgs 4 on my ps3 and the internet didn't work so went to see what the problem was and well the Ethernet cable wasn't pluged into the router so i pluged it in and my internet didn't work on anything not even the computer that it was prevesly pluged into aka the internet only works when u plug the Ethernet cord from the modem directly to the object u r using it for so what do i do to make it were i van use my router again like when i had me old isp"embarq" btw sorry for all the errors in this message im perrty sleepy!

    A good start would be tech support at Charter Cable, since they installed it wrong, and should be responsible. I would actually call them on the phone instead of using email since a phone call requires no punctuation-they will understand better. Then after you get that cable modem going, google commas, periods and semicolons etc. You obviously slept thru English I. LMFAO "groans"

    roflmfao ya i did actualy sleep through english its really boring and thnx for the fast reply i will do that and tell u if somthing good or bad happends oh wait lolz i will start useing my .,';:" now"!":D ok well i think i might have found the prob, the setting in my router are wrong. do i need different setting for a cable modem connections? or are they the same as my old"Embarq" connection?

    Don't you save instructions with your products? You should have a manual that came with the router that explains how to install such.

    CALL you tech guy and get it fixed. You're paying for it whether you know it or not.

    Did you also get your router from Charter also? I know it might seem like a strange question, but did you inform the tech that you needed the installation thru the router?

    no... i guess i was stupid, cause i fell a sleep while he was there and my girlfriend didn't wake me up :p im guna call and talk to them tomorrow!
