I'm copying VHS tapes for the first time with the Pinnacle Video Transfer (VCR into Pinnacle Video Transfer Box into Flash Disc)to edit with Pinnacle Studio 11 later.

At first all I got were codec error messages when trying to play the flash disk on Windows Media Player. I downloaded Haaki Media Splitter and FFDSHOW from this site and got the video to play, but no audio.

Then I downloaded AC3Filter, Classic Meida Player and Gspot (which only told me Codec Status was undetermined)but still no audio. Gspot did tell me my Codec is: mp4a:MPEG-4 AAC LC. I don't know what that means but obviously I don't possess anything that can play it.
