hello. found this forum through google. I am hoping someone here will be able to assist me. What I want to do is put all my recorded programs on VCR to DVD. the DVR is plugged in and hooked up to vcr/tv. on the menu screen i beleive it was question #6 how to record from VCR. I keep getting 'no signal' the back of my vcr has 6 holes for the input/output cables. the toip row reading 'output' i unplugged them to plug into DVR - tv screen went out. that top row is connected to tv so i unplug the bottom 'input' cables from vcr and connect to DVR and still no signal. Basicly im trying to get connected to the DVR. calling Geek Sqad would mean $100 just for them to come out.well i hope i have clearly stated my issue and any help getting connect would be greatly appreciated. Thank You :]
Oh FYI my VCR is around 10 years old -
it is a Panasonic Omnivision VHS MODEL PV-7200/PV-7400/PV-7450

Hi MBSD here's a layout that will work for you.

    You need 2 red-white-yellow cables.

    1) Plug the output (red, white, yellow) of the VCR to the input (red, white, yellow) of the DVR.

    2) Plug the output (red, white, yellow) of the DVR to the input (red, white, yellow) of the TV.

    3) Power up both VCR and DVR.

    4) Select the appropriate input on TV (remote)(the one that the DVR is plug into).

    5) Select the appropriate input/source on DVR (remote)(the one that the VCR is plugged into).

You should be able to see a signal.

    Good luck.
