what chip do you have? I would suggest craxtion over xISO, alot of people have trouble with xISO. Also, have you tried other media, some boxes are very picky about the media you use.

are you making sure you try to patch the default.xbe file? the newest version of craxtion will do the patching for you. probably an xodus chip. i would go with the (-) media simply because they are cheaper most of the time, at least in the USA they are.

like darthnip said i would also reccomend the (-) media, because they are very compatible. I use ritek dvd-r's i have had great results with this brand.

i've never really found a media that didn't work well for me, but i've got a samsung drive and only used a few different types of media. I always buy DVDpro 1x white top discs. they're cheap, and i can burn them at 2x since i upgraded the firmware of my burner.

I dont know if this will help but you might want to try burning your game at 1x speed. It makes for a better burn. Also I would look at the iso file before I burned it using Winrar or something to make sure all the files are in your iso image.

motomatt - i know you've said that before, and it's cool that you can get it to work but in all fairness, you and maybe a small handfull of other people are the only ones i've ever seen do it without making an ISO. So it's more like a "general" guideline for people to make an ISO from the game. not that you have to or anything , hell whatever works for you go for it! Maybe if he gets it to recognize his burner, that might be his fix.

You act like you have to stand on your head and rub your stomach while pressing the burn button or something..

    USING RECORD NOW

    Burn a data disk

    Track at once(TAO)(closed)

UDF- Up to 128 in filename length, any char.,plus 8+3 tree (bridge)

You obviously along with alot of others have not tried it. But I promise not to tell anyone else about it since its causing so much trouble..

no it's not causing any trouble at all, i'm just saying people need to know the "basics" too, not that record now is hard, but if he goes anywhere else or reads any guides, they're mostly going to talk about having to make an iso. there's no reason he cant know both bits of info, record now might not work with his setup, then again it might. no one said you were causing problems, lighten up dude.

the only reason i don't use record now is because it won't detect my burner
