HI I've ordered Sims 2 for mac and i have a macbook air with a superdrive and i was wondering do i need to keep the disc in to play the game if so is there a way i can play it without having the disc in and will it run on my macbook air??? Thanks in advance

no i am sorry you need the no cd patch. But you might be wasting your time anyways does the sims 2 even run nice on the macbook air because all the macbook air is is a mac mini with a smaller size lcd and keyboard.
WHAT??? The macbook air is powerful enough to play the sims 2. You don't think a Mac Mini can handle a low processor intensive game like the sims. I am sorry... I am trying not to laugh right now!
Thanks for telling me the thing about the mac but what i mean by cant download is i copy the link in to my address bar hit enter and there is nothing on the page and nothing in my download stack??? But ill try it again today
Don't change the file extension on the URL or the completely downloaded file. When you open the .dmg file from your download stack you will have a Disk Image appear on your desktop with the patch! ~Domreis
But there is nothing in my downloads so when i go to the page normaly its just white and nothing happens, ill try it in another browser that might work
The page will appear white. The file will automatically download. The link is the link to the download mirror!
Ive just managed to download it i found a download manager plugin that wasnt supposed to be there thanks so much for your help, (On Ichat I have an AIM account)
