Just going into week 7 of my new TV,the picture/display was gone. Sony repairman says he has to order a new FB1 mainboard. TV was always connected to a good APC line conditioner/ surge protector. What the heck? I'm not happy. Anyone experiencing this issue right off the bat?
Well guess what. Sony replaces FB1 board and presto, no picture! Now they will try 2 other parts that will take another 2 weeks to install with no guarantees they will fix problem. I guess no diagnosing here, just throw parts at it till something magically works. This TV sucks.And so does Sony.
Here we go again. Now Sony tech support tells sears repairman that the display panel needs replacement. I will have to fight for a new TV. I wish I never purchased this junk.
Panel replacemment was unsuccessful in repair. Sony told repairman I can expect to hear from them about replacement unit. That was 2 days ago and I dont know what to expect. Repairman told me Sony has upped the warranty of this model to 2 years because of many failures, but Sony is not announcing to the public.
