My PC keeps returning to 8bit

    Could someone help me to run my pc in 32 bit at all times unless I manually change it.Every time I turn my pc on or connect to tne net it reverts to 8 bit. tupp34

    i think your screen is reverting to 8 bit color instead of 32 bit color not the computer, am i correct?

    You may be right about the screen itself returning to 8 bit but I don't seem to be able to rectify the problem. Thank you for replying to my thread. tuppy34

    what does it show for videocard in device manager & is there an exclamation mark there?

    My nVidia wdm vidio capture (universal) has a yellow mark against it.When I check this I'm told this connot work (code 10)
    I have reinstalled the software but get the same result.

    But did you uninstall your current video card drivers, before you reinstalled whatever drivers you installed? If not, you didn't change anything.

    I have installed a new vidio card but get the same result. Have uninstalled original card completely but this did not solve the problem.Is ther something else I can do. tuppy34

    There is a yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager?

    There is no exclamation mark in device manager.The screen goes blank for about 5 seconds then comes back as 8 bit.Is it possible that this is caused by a programme I have installed.
