I'd like to ask you a (few) question(s) about the song.

    1) What format is it? (.mp3, .wav, etc)
    2) Do you know if it has copy protection?
    3) Does it have "irregular" characters in the name? (e.g., ~, #, *)

Now, I'm not sure of your situation, but have you tried to tinker with the song's information using iTunes?

And in the future, not to be critical, but can you please make your English a bit more organized? Maybe some periods. I know many people here would be glad to help you, but your post was a bit hard to understand.

    I hope I helped.

in answer to your post first things first the PERIOD now that is out of the way the files are all mp3 and there is no copy protection as for special characters no just files like if i added "BAD TO THE BONE" it gives the file on itunes a file name of AWDO and it does that for a lot of songs so i cant change all of them because there is simple too many and i dont have the time i dont even have the time to put in periods lol so any suggestions of programs would be helpful

I think itunes is reading the file tags rather than the file name. They could be incorrectly tagged as something like AWDO.001.mp3 etc etc etc which will confuse quite a lot of software. As for something making every pc displayed filename only 4 characters long... sounds like a virus in the mp3renamer category or as before something to do with some other software messing about naming the files from the (incorrect) tags.. Odd problem. I haven't ever come across anything quite like it before..
Try playing a couple of the files with a pc media player and see what the song title and information displays as.. That's the easiest way I can think of to have a look at the mp3 tags.

Why the rush? Time is for using, and time spent learning something is never time wasted.
