In gaming, my video card never fully satisfies the requirementof the game because of vertex and pixel shader versions (my pixel shader ver is 2.0, and my vertex shader ver is 0.0).
Do you really NEED vertex and pixel shader?
Do games really check if you have them?
If they check them, is there any way to fool the game to pretend that I have vertex and pixel shader?

However, I can play games which requires vertex and pixel shaders
Age of Empire III works perfectly
Black&White II works perfectly (even at max settings)
and more which i cant think of..

My problom is fear of buying games which wont even work in my computer

    1. Yes
    2. Yes
    3. No, even if there was the game would run with corrupted graphics, or crash a lot.

AoE3 and B&W2 work in your PC because you probably have a decent, but old graphics card that only supports PS2.0, and consequently, while it's enough to run these games with reduced settings, it can't run modern titles or older titles at top settings because it doesn't understand how to do so. If there's a game you want that requires PS3.0 to work at all, it's time for a new graphics card.
