Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

Read more about the update and let us know what you think!

Bypass Zango and many others adds!

#1 31 Jul 2008 @ 23:03
zango apparently has been invading my favorite sites along with other adds

something you need to know
http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/200...ware-label.html
zango is spyware, it shouldn't be on your computer, if you have it get rid of it, which is usually a chore
http://www.pchell.com/support/zango.shtml
some people claim that the uninstaller doesn't remove it, be prepared to remove it manually:(

How to bypass zango required urls

1) Install and run firefox the browser of choice
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

2) Go tools> Options

3)In the options area go to the content feature and un check both java and javascript, although for zango and many other adds disabling javascript is enough:D

and your done zango/many similar (hsbc add lol) adds will no longer show up:P
http://beta.vreel.net/

refresh the page and zango/java based adds will no longer load

alternatively you can use the NoScripts firefox addon, i use it and i no longer run into many popus and such, just make sure to configure it correctly
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722

EXAMPLE

http://beta.vreel.net/
vreel requires zango in order to view videos now, by disabling both javascript and java zango no longer pops up but the videos (divx) still load!!

i hope this helps!
