hi there, i have a pc downstairs in my house and one in my room upstairs with my xbox 360. now i wanted to hook it all in the same network without having to run new wires, i already had one network cable ran up to my room, i want the speed of wired network for streaming and online play, so i added a second router in my room, and i connected the cable to port 4 of my new router and changed the ip address of router to 192.168.1.2, the router downstairs has a ip address of 192.168.1.1, pretty much i am using my router upstairs as a switch/access point. everything is working but i am always getting disconnected from xbox live and even when i am downloading torrents and such i am always having to re-download because everything is losing connections. is there something i did wrong or maybe some settings i need to change in order for these 2 work properly together? i would just to thank you in advance for taking the time to help, thanks.

i actually did do that at the start and it did not work, i came across a tutorial that told me to just change the one end number and plug the network cable from other router to port 4 of the new router, and i have to admit it did work no problem just i am having issues with the connectivity, they are 2 diff routers maybe thats why?
they are dlink di-524 and linksys WRT54GC thanks
