so.. i dont know what happened, but my ipod quit playing music...
everything "works" but it will not play

i can pick songs, they will show up on screen, it will say Now Playing... but the time bar does not move and no sound...

all of my music has been deleted from my laptop so my ipod was my last shot...... is it really a lost cause?

ok first have you sync the ipod after the songs we're removed from the laptop? if you didn't then you need to copy the music off your ipod back on to the computer, there's a free program call idump you can google it, It will allow you to copy your music back to your laptop, once your music is safe in your laptop, you can restore the ipod in itunes then re-sync it, good word of advice, don't delete the music of the laptop, is always good to have 2 copy's one on the computer and the ipod, however if you concern about disk space, you can run and get a pack of blank dvd's assuming your laptop can burn dvd's insert a blank dvd on your laptop with itunes open, and itunes will ask if you like to back your files to the dvd, you can say yes, once is done make sure you can see the files on the disk before you delete the files from your computer. you can find idump at download.com Good luck
