I have been using a Panasonic DMR ES-20 recorder for about two and a half years. Lately, I have been having a frequent problem with the Panasonic DVD-Ram discs. Even though these are supposed to last through 100,000 recordings, many do not. Often when I play back a recording on one of these discs, there are long stretches where the picture is jumbled. Sometimes I can even see a previous recording (which has been erased) in the background. I have not had this problem with DVD-RW discs. Has anyone experienced this problem-or found that a different brand of DVD-RAM media performs better?
Panasonic DVD-RAM seems to be pretty good ( http://club.cdfreaks.com/f33/how-good-panasonic-dvd-ram-media-201477/ ) have you checked your disk for scratches or ran a lens cleaner through your player?
