Flashing The Bios

Ok Here is the story. I have an original Xbox, manufact date of 11-19-01. It was originally modded by a guy I worked with at a time using an epprom to flash the bios and new hdd and the works. That is the part I am fuzzy on as I am not that technical. I have since changed out the hard drive several times over the past 7 years and have always managed to "find" the software and get everything reinstalled as the past hard drives die. It has always said bios version evox 2.2. I have done a few other little hardware mods such as a HDD indicator light etc..., but never had to put in a mod chip.

What is the newest version and what are the changes? Am I able to flash the bios to a new version right from evox or via a boot cd? Remember I have NO chip.

Sounds like your tsop was flashed . The newest EvoX bios is m8 plus . And yes you can flash your tsop from EvoX .
