usb ports

    I think something may be wrong with my usb. my computer wont recognize anything I plug into the usb ports. No thing happens? How can I fix?

    Have you installed/uninstalled any software recently? Have you recently reinstalled windows or updated any drivers?

    what does it show in the device manager in the usb section when nothing is connected?

    No I have not installed or uninstalled anything. I do see the usb in device manager. when I input my video card nothing happens.

    CF/SD Card readers work via USB as well, even internal ones, so that will be related to the original problem.

    how about usb devices like printers, flash drives & mp3 players, are they seen at all & if so, properly?

    I have the printers installed and you can see the icons but when you try to print, it says check the connections.
