I have seenof free disk imaging software. but i would like to be able burn the image to a dvd then later put the dvd in my drive and have everything restored to the way it was when i made the image Like i said i have sceen a lot of programs just not sure wich one 2 pick. thanks.

Have you tried paragon drive backup express? I've used the pro version with success, the express version is the free version. The other "free" imaging software require you to make a bartpe cd to boot the computer, which can be a little complicated to do. http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=217534
