Hi Guys, I have flashed lots of boxes, both Eurovox & Starview....even clones. I have this one box that I can't do anything with. It is a Eurovox black 2008.(checked, and know that it's not a clone) It is stuck on Oct'07 firmware, and will not let me update.I have tried 2 pc's.getting message "waiting for response from reciever" Tried Voxer, but cannot find box either.I tried factory restore, scanned, and it picked up all transponders, however cannot actually find any channels, and stays on channel 0000. Do you know of any other way to reset this box,or can anybody give me any advise on how to get it working again? Thanks in advance
Sounds like you have tried the lot and I know your cables are fine as you said you have flashed other boxes with them. Maybe the Comm port is faulty, if it is under warranty send it back.
May do if you dont want to send it back. Have you tried cloning from a working Max V? You may have to reset it from the microswitch on the main board.
Thanks again Scouser. I have tried the reset button, and also tried cloning from my Max v It just doesn't read the box. The strange thing, though, is that when I scanned, I got 30 transponders but just skipped through them w/out giving any actual channels...wierdest thing i've ever seen.What do you think?
Strange alright. So you can get all the transponders and when you go into user installation press red button, you get no channels??

I can do a scan, get all transponders, but hust skips through 1/32 , 2/32, 3/32 without any channels at all. This is a friends box, and I promised to do what I could for him. I first tried to update his firmware in April, but this box wouldn't have it then.Now it has quit working, I got him to send it to me (he's in Warwickshire, i'm in London) I am getting the green bar, giving me a good signal(between 78-82) System info reads DXV-XC BOXV TDA 1.0 STC4 Oct 29 2007 2.0t K5 V001 Kuro This is driving me bonkers.Never known anything like it. I have ordered a jtag kit from fleabay.Keeping fingers crossed. Thanks again
Well as you said its a strange one alright. The tuner seems fine, transponders but yet no channels. Unless you have a corrupt TSOP, which could affect the tuner drivers. Jtag would be the best route as said. Let me know how you get on, hope its not too difficult to get back up and running. If you need any assistance regards Jtagging just let me know. I presume you ordered it from TMC.
