i am based in stoke and have just purchased starview 3 without software provided.
i am not very bright and i am sitting here with the box connected to my pc via a null modem cable , i know this because that's what it says on the jar.
the box that i have got has 7x20 vents on the top and looking from the front the scarts are on the right.
i was in the process of gaining some advice from DesB yesterday but got waylayed and he doesn't seem to be around at the moment.
can anyone tell me what to do next please.

First thing i would advise you to do is to stick to one thread, go back to the original one because these will be closed by the mods for multiposting.

Second, try reading the starview box 3 thread i gave you a link to yesterday.

Third, what's with the pensioner stuff - 65 isn't that old! If you want to label yourself and make yourself think that you can't do things you're going the right way about it. You're able to use a computer and use the internet, so why shouldn't you be able to sort out your tv?

Well, calling yourself a pensioner to me means that you're labelling yourself in the older part of the population. And calling yourself not very bright is worse! Everyone starts out knowing nothing. Read up on things, study them for a while and you'll know as much as anyone else.

Multiposting is asking the same thing in a couple of different threads. Starting lots of new threads on the same topic is worse as it clogs up the forums with lots of useless titles and the mods and other people who get email alerts when there are new threads get lots of emails about nothing. By the way, your thread title is really bad too - if you are going to start a new thread call it something like Starview 3 Firmware advice needed or something like that, but you are much better to post in one of the existing starview 3 threads, and more likely to get a prompt answer. In fact, if you read through the relevant threads you will find the same answers posted again and again. Good luck!

Oh yeah, and try reading the rules!
