upgrading cpu

    I have a sephrone 2800 on an asrock k8-vm800 motherboard I think, I'm not to sure what info you need but I was just wondering if I want to upgrade my processor what is the highest I can go that would be compatiable. If you need more info I will more then gladly help.

    okay so I was once blonde I went to the link and still don't understand? What I want to accomplish is my pc is 1.6ghz I wanna upgrade to something faster I was told it was the cpu I wanted to change but I could be wrong. That's what I need to know what is it that I need and what would be compatiable

    the 1st list for socket 754. can go to 3700+

    just had to know what socket you have & as the socket 754 was the only 1 with your cpu, that elimenated the other 2 sockets.
