Does anyone know how to update a Garmin Nuvi 250 with "City Navigator Europe NT v10" from V9 that was pre-installed when I purchased the unit, without having to go through Garmin themselves . Any help on this matter would be gratefully accepted. Thank you.
Thanks for the responses. My question is can I download City Navigator Europe NT v10, put it on an SD card or upload V10 straight to my Nuvi 250 which has the outdated V9 already on it... Your fake sincerity is most welcome Creaky
Yes it's that simple to update stuff on Garmin's, they're very easy to update. What i can't help you with is whether the software will work correctly (ie in case you buy it outside of the Garmin site) as i only ever apply the unit software (from Garmin), haven't had the need to update any maps yet.
Hi creaky I recently purchased Garmin european update via a download.It downloade successfully to my desktop but i cannot seem to upload it to my sat nav!!
You probably just need to install the Garmin Updater program, it's on their site under the Support tab, you can't miss it..
Hi creaky Unfortunately that didnt work..When i open updater it doesnt recognise software ive uploaded.. Software i downloaded has to be extracted first and then it automatically goes to upload when i connect sat nav.. After that it fails to install
