I am having a problem trying to use AnyDvd on my computer. I am running Vista. After the trial version expired, I started using the key. Well it worked for a day and then stopped. I then spent the whole next day trying to get it to work again. It kept saying the trial version has expired. Can someone help me and tell me what I'm doing wrong? I have downloaded the latest version of AnyDvd and still nothing. I have it installed on my work computer which runs off Windows XP and it's doing just fine. Help!!!

Try uninstalling AnyDVD completely, then run a registry cleaner. Then try reinstalling from scratch. Also be sure you are running as administrator.

What exactly is a registry cleaner and how do I go about getting one?

A registry cleaner does just as the name implies, it removes the junk deleted or temp files and programs leave behind in your registry. One of the best is Ccleaner , just click the link and download it here at AD.

Ok. I will try that. I let a friend of mine that knows more about computers get my laptop and try and see what he comes up with. He texted me and said that he couldn't get AnyDvd to recognize my drive. He said that he don't think that it is compatible with Vista. The trial version ran on there. What do you think?

Many people are running AnyDVD with Vista without any issues. So I don't think that the problem is compatibility. Try what I suggested and if that doesn't work we will go from there.

Ok...We ran the registry cleaner to no avail. It's still not working. I just don't know what else to do.

So you ran the uninstall, then the reg. cleaner, then reinstalled the program? Are you running the latest version available downloaded directly from the Slysoft website? And you are logged on as an administrator? Is the only error you are getting is the trial expired? Sorry for all the questions just trying to narrow it down.

P.S- You don't have to say if you are or not, but if the key you have is not legal that could be an issue as well. Slysoft will blacklist keys that they find to have been compromised on the web.
