is it d end of the boxes?? (scaremongering)

found this on an irish website.....

Mate works for UPC, theyre planning to change the format of the signal in october. New cards will be sent out to all customers.

Apparently its going to support mp4 rather then current mp2 so while the actual signal may be cracked the dodgy boxes are not supposed to be able to play the format of the signal. Its supposed to be a few steps ahead of the SKY format which I believe is difficult to crack.

Thats the word anyway, so if youre thinking of getting one, might be better to hold off for the time being to see what happens

 

You know what, if you actually bothered to read through any of the old threads on this forum you'd see that this subject has been raised quite a few times already, always by somebody who's mate knows somebody etc.

Without any firm evidence, people are sick of discussing hearsay. So please leave it alone.
