    1. No, Mac's can't. They are based on a Unix core.
    2. There have been a few reported cases of spyware that infected the mac, but those have all never been officially confirmed.
    3. Adobe PhotoShop was originally intended to be ran on a mac. ALL professional photoshope users photoshop on a mac.
    4. There are several applications, look under the creative software section at apple's website.
    5. VLC will work for all major video formates. There is quicktime, and windows media player for mac.
    6. Yes
    7. LOL... Yes. Flash player 10 was actually just released. (There use to be flash player 9) most flash creations are made on a Mac.
    8. Aperture.... ADOBE products were originally designed for macs. Go to adobe.com All of their PC software is also available on a Mac and then some!
    9. Once again, ADOBE+Mac=Professional/LOVE
    10. iSquint
    11. Toast 8 or 9.... Disk Utility works great for disk images and iso files.
    12. Limewire will run on a mac... LOL
    13. he software is built into the OS. I also use Stuffit expander
    14. Yes... Limewire Transmission are great
    15. LOL... Final Cut Studio, Final Cut express, iMovie, iMovie HD, Adobe Premiere (Macs are the best machines for video editing)
    16. If you do all of what your are asking about I am surprised you don't already have a mac.

    Command + Alt/Option + ESC

Or by clicking the apple and going Force Quit

I have never had to use it though! :D

    depends on memory..

If you have a gig of ram or better you are fine and will hardly ever have to use the command quit keys however if you have only 512 megs of ram and are trying to run leopard have fun...

Thats kind of irrelevant now... Apple doesn't ship a single mac with 512MB of Ram anymore!

Very nicely answered. But definitely Toast and Aperture are a must. I would recommend the Apple Care Protection Plan Extended Warranty.
