DVD copying program...HELP

Does anyone know of a DVD to CDR copying program that is free. I tried smartripper but cannot download it. Let me know please!

Whatever you use, they all take quite a few hours. I, successfully, use claddvd followed by dvd2avi then tmpgenc. It takes the best part of a day to rip and burn a dvd to cd-r, some of the long winded stuff I do overnight or while I'm at work.
Majority of films have to span two cd-rs (Lord of the rings on 3) but a dvd collection for free must be worth some sacrifices

thanks but do you know where to get DVD2AVI becuase when I try to download it, it comes as a .doc file and not a .exe file. Thanks again
