Hey guys, I let me brother-in-law borrow my laptop a few months back and I just got it back (never again, lol!!). Problem is, it's all jacked up! I would like to do a fresh install, but I can't find any of the discs that came with it when I bought it. It is a Toshiba Satellite A215-S4767 with Vista Ultimate. Is there anywhere I can download an image to make a vista DVD or something like that? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
there is a way to restore the laptop to its factory out of box state Just hold down 0 zero on startup and follow instructions. click on out of bos state if it promps you to
Na, tried this and it didn't work. M HP laptop has a seperate partition that you can actually see. However the Toshiba doesn't. kinda want to get rid of the Toshiba Bloatware that came with it also. I want to try and make it run a little faster, more to te potential of the acual system, y'know? I asked a friend if I could borrow his Vista dvd as I read somewhere that the Serial numbers aren't specific to any particular installation disc. He said that Microsoft still does that. However, I read that all the OS discs are the same, the product key determines which version of the OS is installed e.g. Basic, pro, Ultimate and so on. Any ideas or help?
