i would like to get a modchip for my xbox, i would prefer a solderless one. are these good? and where is the best place to get one. also is the link for the burning guide up to date or is there a new/better way of backing up games? thanks, eagles
I got my chip from here http://www.xbox-chipz.co.uk/x-ecuter.shtml they were really fast, they are in the UK. Backing up games is easy, worry about that once you have got a chip. Solderless is ok, I like the X-ecuter chips myself, but I think they are all ok once you get a good bios and dashboadr installed.
ok i ordered an xecuter lite+ mod chip. my questions now is what software do i need to burn games with or actually waht works best. thanks eagles
you would need craxtion to patch the game and as for the burning software i would recomend nero. P.S. search for seamonkey guides. they are really good instruction.
I don't understand all this bios and dahboard, i have a guide but it only seems to confuse even more. can someone please explain thie to me? not very bright here. LOL thanks eagles
your chip comes comes preflashed with cromwell bios. these bios basically allow you to flash your chip with the hacked bios such as xecuter 4981 or the EvoX M7 bios. these bios are what enable your chip to be able to boot up disks with unsigned cods such as your backup games and such.. now the dashboard such as Evox or Avalaunch are what allow you to unleash your xbox true potential, but it is basically what allows you to ftp data back and forth from your pc nd xbox. you can ftp games or music.. whatever that your xbox can read.. hope this helps peace.
ok here is where im at, got my modchip. i think i have to flash the hacked bios now. where can i get this bios? i have tried mirc but am very unfamiliar with it. thanks for the help
IRC shouldn't be a problem i had only heard of IRC but have never tried until a couple of months ago. i learned it fairly qiuckley just open up mIRC then when it loads up type "/server efnet" on the status window. then when your logged onto the efnet server type "/join #xbins" in the status window again. Then you'll be taken into the channel follow the instructions to get your password and then open flash ftp and connect to the ftp server site. sorry you can't get direct links to bios here on this forum. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]"I've always had a PHD, a pretty huge dick"[/small]
ok this is what i got from mirc, i did the 10 most recent downloads and go this: dead babies v v0.1 beta xbtool 1.0.19.61 smartxx-s 3202 unleashedv30.022a xbc 4.0 open v1.0.2 megaa x key v 2.3 xenium os v1.1 xenium os v1.1 are any of these what i want? dont know what i'm lookin for, also what do i have to type in the message field to get one? thanks eagles
you should be looking for the xecuter 4981 bios and for the EvoX Dashboard. if this mIRC stuff is not working for you and you really can't find the stuff PM me and i'll help you out.... PEACE

when i download bios i get 2 bins, i have x2bios manegerv.2.0, when i try to open it brings up 2 bin files. evoxm7.bin and evoxm7ef.bin. try to put first one in bank 1 and paste it to bank 2 then the save button goes away. very confused here can someone help me? thanks
