I was thinking about getting a DS but would like to know some things before I get one.
What games are worth getting? I know about the FF's and Chrono Trigger and would definatly be getting all them.
Can it be hacked and use Homebrew?
I keep seeing R4 everywhere, what is it?
Whats the difference between DS and DS Lite?
I know with the GBA you could buy flash carts and put roms on there, is there anything like that for the DS? I never did it on the GBA because Flash Carts were really dear.

    Thanks for any help.

if you dont mind downloading games from the net, u can have any games you want.
yes, the ds can be hacked and uses homebrew stuff.
R4 is a storage device for the DS/DSL, there are others, see wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_DS_storage_devices
ds lite is new version of the ds. lighter and smaller but all games can be play on both version.
yes, GBA games can be plays on the ds lite. you can buy a combo pack such as EZFlash Vplus combo. see here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/693592
price is cheaper now. around £20 for GBA card, and £30 for NDS card.

Ah, thanks alot for the help. I've looked at some sites and will probably buy the R4. I found one for about $40 which is about £20 here in the UK, and includes a 1gb MicroSD card.
One more question though. Is this all I need or do I have to change firmware like on the PSP? It seems too easy :D

Thanks again. See what you mean about the R4, it sounded so good aswell. I'll probably buy M3 Real instead, but I need a DS before that!
    Thanks you've been a big help. :D
