Basically, I use the Casablanca because I know how cause I've had it for 3 years. However I want to capture it and then compress the captured video to SVCD, for now. I have an ATI AIW 9600 Pro, 2.6 P4 and 512 Ram, and am not hooked into the net on that computer. If anyone can recommend how to get the exact same quality as the original and the ability to shrink it in size, as much as possible. Aside question, my adobe premiere pro does not have a Non-DV preset, anyone know why? Thanks, and health and happiness for those who have the patience to experience it...alright(Mitch Hedberg style)
Specifically some transitions, mostly crossfades don't get read during capture. The mass amounts of memory a 49 minute collage takes up, really bugs me. and the quality is lame, i'm better off using svideo and then recapturing back to casablanca (it's what i do for the time being)from svideo. quite confused about it all. I just want to make a file, compress it without loss and play it back on a player (BS Player in this case), tweak it more on the casablanca then turn it into a VCD or DVD, whichever is easier. ;/
