okay.. i want to upgrade my computer windows from xp service pack 2 to vista. but the thing is that vista has so many version with vista home, vista premium, and vista ultimate. idk which one is the best one for me? another thing i want to know before i upgraded is that does vista takes alot of memory ram from my pc?
The four "versions" of Vista are based on what you need. Basic - If you have integrated graphics.. or can be used with the other three versions if you don't care to have your card running in 3D mode 24/7. (simply switch to the Basic theme in the other versions - Business also runs this as the default theme) Home Premium - What almost every OEM dealer sends out with their machines. Has just about everything most users will need from Vista. Business - For businesses (obviously).. lacks the built in Games and Media Center apps. Ultimate - Has all the features of all versions with the addition of BitLocker (drive encryption - pointless for your desktop computer really), it can join a domain, and power hungry animated wallpaper. Start off with at least 2GB of system memory (RAM). Anything less would be uncivilized.
I dont know about that Morph, i'm actually running windows vista ultimate with 1gb of RAM and i have been fine. Of course if you got more RAM the system would be much faster in performance. But to say that it would be "uncivilized" isn't really true in some cases.
