    Hallo Mates:

I just swapped back to my old machine G5 iMac - was using my Power Book g4 last 6 months

    both machines run 2.5.0.4
On the Powerbook - I was seeing uploads speeds normally in the 110-114 range
with the G5 - I am throttled down to 55kbps

    same modem - same internet

    any ideas?

    cheers:

    Hallo Susieqbbb:

Nope - just put a " 0" where the 55 was on max upload rates hidden in the transfer section - I m keeping with the 2.5.0.4. less is more for me

    cheers for the reply

Ideally, your maximum upload speed should be 80% of your capacity; just something to consider.

Ideally--and perhaps ideally should be in quotes--your maximum torrent upload speed should be 80% of your upload speed capacity.

For example, if you have a maximum upload speed of 100 kB/s, then your ideal upload speed should be 80 kB/s. In Vuze/Azureus, current download/upload speed is given in the lower right-hand corner of the window. You can set the download/upload speed manually (as you have discovered) or you can set Auto-Speed and Vuze/Azureus will automatically handle the download/upload speed.

You can test your maximum download/upload speeds at Speedtest.net or Speakeasy.net
