    Greetings,

I am interested in purchasing either a tuner card or a usb stick that will allow me to simply plug my cable into the device and watch tv on my pc.

I'm not interested in doing anything other than copying the occasional big game.

Any ideas on the most economical way to do this. I'd be grateful for any reviews of products on the market.

    Best Regards,

Check with Best Buy or Circuit City. They'll be your best bet on finding a decent tuner card.
    Good luck!

When I was at Best Buy today I noticed that Pinnacle makes a USB "PCTV" adapter that lets you watch TV on your computer. Not sure how good it is.

I have never been happy with USB tuners:

1)I believe in "Bus is better" and not the universal Serial Bus.
2)Going though USB introduces another conversion component and another potential "choke point" for dropped frames, etc.

However, if you have a laptop you don't have much choice.

I just bought a "cheap" but updated PCI capture card for less than 20.00 shipped.
