problem updating firmware on pioneer dvr-110

Hey guys, i've been searching/googling around to find a solution to my problem. But i haven't found anything yet so i'm hoping someone in here can help me out.
I simply want to update my pioneer dvr-110 firmware from 8.37 to the latest official firmware of 1.41. But every time i try to install the 1.41 firmware i get a wierd error message.
"Available target is not found"
I'm not sure why it says that or how to 'force' the firmware update.
I would really appreciate any help, thanks.

That's because the firmware loaded in your drive atm indicates you have a Pioneer DVR-110D, not a 110.
Also, your drive is flashed with Buffalo firmware, I think, not standard firmware, so it may be wise to update accordingly.
Do you still have the original 8.37 files you used previously? Can you tell me the exact version of the firmware on your drive at present?
