hi my friend has a mac and its full of bugs and viruses he only has a firewall can someone tell me some good antivirus software that i can download for free off the web so i can run some scans and hopefully clean up his system
ok its clear after a brief read of the literature that i know nothing about macs i will have to do some reading before i can ask an intelligent question in the meantime any advice would be appreciated
your freind then isn't running mac os x leopard or tiger i am sorry to say there are no viruses on mac.
susie im sorry to inform you that macs can get viruses but they are so uncommon you almost never get them like somebody was telling me there was a group of imacs at there collage that got taken out by a virus the reason theres so many viruses on pc is more users and not very good protection so virus encoders prefer that but with macs they have better protection in the way the operating system is set up and there are less users so less of a reason to create them Macs are about 90 times more secure than a pc virus wise to get back to herbys question if your freind has 10.4 or 10.5 download this if he has 10.3 then download this
