Whenever i have firefox open i can't seem to play music from rythmbox or any other player, i have to close all browser windows then re-open rythmbox to hear music, however when i do this then i can't hear anything from my browser that is flash for example youtube vids don't have sound Anyone know how to fix this?
Not really.. it's one of those things.. only one process can use one piece of hardware at a time. Chances are rhythmbox is using alsa and flash is using oss, which hogs the hardware until it is released by closing the application that is running it.. or something like that.
