Dumb question regarding vista...

    So as stated in the subject, I have a stupid question. I am running windows vista and it drives me up the wall that it always asks permission for everything. I mentioned this to someone at a computer store the other day and they said you can change that so it wont ask you if you really want to do what your trying to do everytime you try to execute a program and so on. He kind of told me how to do it but I am either remembering what he told me wrong or he told me the wrong thing.
    So my question is this.... Can you change that option? If you can change this so it will quit asking me all the time how do you change it?

    Is this it, go to start>control panel>user account>turn user account control on or off?
