I am a bit frustrated right now, and i am hoping if someone could help me to solve my problem. My 8GB Ipod Nano is now frozen and wount respond to My Computer. I tried resetting it but the Click Wheel and the Center Button are frozen so it cannot be restarted. I am wondering if it wants to be restored or updated. Furthemore, i havent connected it to itunes in a wile now cuz the computer is at another house. the only responce i can get from it is when i flick the Hold Button, the light comes on and whenever i connect it ti the computer (without itunes) i only see the chatging signal. And i think i was to see (CONNECTED).

Please Help Me With My Issue Someone.

well if you connect it and you see the screen blinking and charging, means the ipod is working, now in order to get itunes to recognise it, you gotta set it to restore mode, hold the button menu+center until the ipod turns off, then release menu, and hold play+center button until you see a check on the screen, your ipod is now on recovery mode, open itunes, wait until it loads, make sure you have all your music in itunes, connect the ipod onces it apears on itunes hit restore, and just wait until is done, follow the instruccions, that should take care of it, if that don't work you probably have to take it to apple, but most of the time, that should fix the problem. Good Luck

I really do appreciate ur help but.. as i said: mt ipod is non responsive. It wount even restart i.e. the buttons have completely freezed. The only response i get from it is:

    1. When it is charging (charging sign)
    2. And when i flick the hold switch on and of.

I cant take it to Apple, because i am Living in jamaica and i dont thin k there is any apple dealer Here. I was only hoping that it is an issue that i can solve myself.

    I NEED HELP

ok well try connecting the ipod to a diffrent usb port, and see if you hear a sound coming from the computer, if you have a friend, try connecting it to theirs and see if the ipod comes up. Good Luck.

This has happened to me before also..you have to unplug the iPod charger out of the USB and wait a while until it's "unheated" if that doesn't work then you will probably need a new charger. Hope this helped.
