omg my ipod wont work again. please help.

my ipod is acting very funny. it wont play the songs, it just keepes skipping to the next song without stopping. ive tried to reset it but it wont let me and when i plug it in to my computer it doesnt do anything.
what do i do???

 

set the ipod to recovery mode by holding the menu+center button, when the ipod powers off, release the menu and press and hold play+center button until you see a check on the ipod screen, your ipod is now on recovery mode, open itunes,connect your ipod and click restore, that should take care of it. how ever there was a few instances that i heard if you have one of the newes ipods, and you have music ripped with and older version of itunes you will get this error of songs skipping, try to restore it and see if that helps.
