Can't erase CD-RW but can erase DVD-RW

    Just recently i have been unable to erase CD-RW discs using Nero and some other programs. But nero does erase DVD-RW. Anyone else experienced this problem or any advice to help ? Many thanks

    Is the option available in Explorer to erase the disk?
    Can you erase the disk?
    If the option is not shown, go to the drive properties and turn 'recording off', then turn it on again.

    Yes that is a method i have already tried to no avail. Thanks anyway. I just find it strange that the processes i have tried will erase DVD-RW but not CD-RW.
