change firmwere on chiped 360

can i change the firmwere on my chipped 360 because every time i bern a game from my pc (xp)the xbox somtimes reads it as a cd music cd i think or it reads it as a game but at the bottom cd tray bar thing it dont say the game name it says play game and when i click on play game the screen goes black for 30 secs and then a message comes up sayin the disc is unreadable please clean it and reset the console i know it plays copied games because iv got some from the car bootie and they work most of the time
