help needed for windows vista

    hi,
    my mrs bought a laptop about 2 weeks ago (acer aspire)and after a while i managed to get the wireless router up and running.we also are
    connected to our desktop pc via the same modem.absolutely no problems loading pages up via internet explorer or firefox but when i try to watch a video on youtube it loads for about a minute and then nothing.it just stops !also when trying to download files(p2p) etc the same thing happens,it seems very slow.the same thing is happening with the desktop pc.any help would be gratefully appreciated,thanks,johnny

    Did you go to adobe.com? They have flash player 9? and shockwave player 10?. There is also java.com. They have java 6?. It's all free for the taking (I installed this on my neice's laptop before I gave it to her for Christmas).

    PS. You may wanted to turn off that nagging UAC Vista has.

    hi and thanks for the reply,yes i have adobe flash 9, shockwave and java all installed on pc but would;nt know what uac was ! really getting me down this,any help appreciated...j
