I have an Ipod Nano 3rd Gen... All of sudden the screen has decided to go blank...i've tried rebooting and restoring but that didnt do the trick. I must admit there is a SLIGHT dot of how i can only describe as the 'watermark' thing u can get in LCD screens. I was thinking that maybe why it wont switch on...BUT when the Ipod is plugged into my PC.....after a slight delay it registers it in Itunes AND its possible to see the screen and everything properly....its also the same when its plugged into my car stereo. But as soon as i disconnect the wire from either PC or stereo...screen disappears again.
Any ideas? Sounds like more than just getting the screen replaced but i'm not sure!?

Ok if you can see everything when connected, is not the screen i think your battery crapt out, been that apple just announce new nano's you can pic last year model at a really good price, for a 8 gb you can pay what the 4 gb cost last year, the battery not to hard to replace, if you don't wanna do it your self, you looking to spend about $60.00 USD to have it replace, and Honestly, a new nano 8gb you can get for about $139.00 Take a look at the apple site on the refurbish section, refurbish, really mean is the one's they couldn't sell, they discount them. anyway is up to you, Good Luck.
