just go into powerscan and put 6887 in the mbaud and search from 200.ooomhz
#152 26 Jun 2007 @ 7:12
When I bought the box, it came with all the channels pre-installed to the correct frequencies with 6887 as the symbol so I presumed this was not the problem... Hopefully thisll work, its 24 hours from being sent back! Thanks for your help
#153 27 Jun 2007 @ 0:13
Hi again... I tried this last night and it seemed to pick up all the correct frequencies but when I auto-scanned the frequencies it didnt pick up any channels... Anyone know what would be causing this? And preferably how to fix it?!
Its a Eurovox red on N*L, and the software on it is from March.
Thanks again
#154 27 Jun 2007 @ 5:26
yeah when it searches on 6887 it should find 13 channel freq and it will atomactically load these after power scan it will go from no signal to updating signal
#155 27 Jun 2007 @ 5:31
It found the 13 frequencies that were posted on this thread but I left it for 2 hours after that and nothing happens... Any suggestions? Thanks for the help so far by the way

first check your cable is ok, put it directly in to the tv and it should show the basic channels, if thats ok then make sure you put it in to the RF in socket on your box start scan at 290mzh and stop at 400 mzh (all the channels are between thoose two frequencies ) so it only takes 3 or 4 minutes to scan
#157 27 Jun 2007 @ 5:51
Yep the channels come through fine on the TV, its plugged into the RTF and the powerscan works perfectly and picks up all the correct frequencies. THe problem is that once the power scan has finished, thats it- it does nothing automatically & if I autoscan the frequencies, it doesnt pick up any channels. Ive tried everything Ive read on here but cant seem to get it working :(

just a suggestion as i saw this happen on a friend of mines box. the cable they were using from the cable box on the wall to the eurovox worked perfectly when they put it straight into their tv but when they put it into there eurovox it displayed no signal, i discovered the reason for this was the cable and when they changed it to a more expensive cable (i.e one with the gold bits on the end) it worked perfectly. Maybe you could try this. Also its the same for the scart lead if its old or a cheap one it doesn't make a complete connection between the box and the tv and won't bring in the picture but will bring in the freq's. Maybe you could bring it to a friends house and try it out there with their cables to see if it works before you purchase any cables although they're not too expensive.
#159 27 Jun 2007 @ 15:13
ok put the 13 freq that it finds in on a manual scan ie. write them down and add them yourslf if it is finding the freq there is no problem just take note and input them yourself
#160 28 Jun 2007 @ 0:05
Thanks again lads- our next door neighbour hooked his box up in my house using our cables and it worked fine, so unfortunately its not that. Ive also inputted the freq manually, but it still isnt picking up any channels...
Ive given up now, going to return the box!

does anyone know if chorus is digital or mmds in kildare town. A friend of mine is looking to get a eurovox but isn't sure if it'll work there.
#163 30 Jun 2007 @ 3:17
If he is receiving his tv channels by cable, the eurovox WILL WORK.If he is getting it via an MMDS aerial on his roof, the box WILL NOT WORK.
#164 30 Jun 2007 @ 6:22
Thurles Town is on Cable, but they seem to be putting an MMDS signal through it. The Chorus box is an ITD-60, where Cork is an ICD-60.

Is it possible to use the Eurovox in Thurles.

Fancy buying 1 and letting us know.Eurovox works in Cork, maybe they are just different model numbers. What do you mean they are putting an MMDS signal down the cable?

check what the freq of the channels are manually re enter them in in your installation menu and do an autoscan.

These are the settings on the Chorus box:

Modulation - QAM64
16) Code rate - 3/4
17) Guard interval - 1/23
18) Bandwidth - 8 MHZ
19) Hierarchy info - None

I'm afraid,I'm lost. How does that tell you its an MMDS signal

hello everyone
i just got a eurovox max 2007. I cant seem to get it to work, I do a power search, and it scans 770 channels. When its finished i go to look at the channels and it says channel unavailable. I live in dublin, ireland and have ntl digital.
Its sooooo frustrating.
please help

roger
first make sure your cable is in the rf in socket on the vox, then go to installation ,yellow button for power scan, start search at 200mhz and stop at 400 mhz , if nessessary change the symbol rate to 6887 and ok, if everything is ok it should find 138 channels
but i must say mine has been perfect for a month but since ntl upgraded yesterday i am struggling to get my channels back

guys
there's new software for the eurovox that might help you all. I have ch"&%S and haven't had to upgrade mine yet (if its not broken don't fix it) but if you wanted to try upgrading your boxes for the nthell problems it's there. All the other boxes that are used on nthell such as Starview and replay have all had to be upgraded because of nthell. Just a suggestion.
