Hey, so I don't technically have Charter Cable, but I plugged in a Coax Cable into my wall and turns out, I am getting like a 70 channel package free. I recently bought a 32" plasma tv and plugged in a cable on that TV as well, it seems to pick up all the channels that my regular TV does, because I can go to them, and hear them, but there is the black and gray snowy screen over my channel so I can barely see the channels at all, and absolutely can't watch it. I believe these would be analog channels only. I actually get about 20 digital channels that come in fine, and ABC, NBC, CBS, and PBS HD! Anyway, does anybody have a prognosis on why I can't see the analog channels, or if I can fix that? Like I stated, they come in fine on my regular tv, but not my hdtv.

Try switching the setting from "cable" to "tv" under the menu options on your tv?

But I think that the channels are coming through the cable.

Sounds to me like you don't have something set right on the tv. I can understand you getting NBC, ABC, CBS, etc. if you are running a coax cable because the tv probably has a tuner built into it. But you are getting some of the pay channels as well, but not others - really I'm not too sure.

Try messing with that setting like I stated before and see what happens.

I guess I will monkey with it more when I get home today, but I know that I did switch the setting to TV, which is a built in Air tuner, and I only get a few channels, that come in ok, but not great. And those, if I remember right, are just the local channels. But, I will try messing with the settings a bit more to see what happens.

Well if you already tried what I had suggested, then I don't know. How bout paying for a "real" cable setup with a HD box and what not. ;)
