Help with divx files sound

    i Have a movie in divx but the problem is there is no sound, the picture is there but the sound isnt working 4 some reason, could this be a codec problem, any advce would b awesome cause i really wanna watch this movie

    Your assumption is probably correct. Donload G-spot and open your file with it. You can download it here: http://www.headbands.com/gspot/download.html

    G-spot will tell you what kind of audio compression your avi has. My guess is that it's AC3.

    i have the same problem when i change the movie to a mpeg. and i have 3 ac3 files according to gspot.

    As long as you have the AC3 filter installed you can open your avi with Virtualdub, go to the audio menu and select "Full Processing Mode" and go to file and select "Save WAV". Use the wav file as the audio source when converting to mpeg.
