Vista Compatibility List

Hello to everyone, i was wondering if there is a site that has a searchable database that will tell me whether or not a game is vista compatible, and if not where i may be able to locate a patch for it.

We don't actually have a database on the site.

Just ask us and we'll tell you to the best of our abilities if it works on Vista

I've got a lotta games installed and running on Vista, but I need you to tell me the name of the games

 

The Particular game i am wondering about is an older game called Hard Truck 2, I installed it and it runs for a while but it always quits running after a while. I was wondering if this was a vista problem or if it was an issue with the game and can it be fixed with a patch.

Hey that's alright i kinda guessed that you wouldn't know, it's not like it's a populare game like Call of Duty or anything like that.

They are easy to make, just google "animated userbar", and choose any site. They will let you choose from lots of different ones and merge them for you

Thanks Varnull, it was not much help with this game but answered questions about some of my other games.

 

Maybe if it plays for a while and crashes it's a compatibility mode problem?

I found with xp and c&c gold.. even with the xp patch it didn't work unless you dug around and changed some of the other parts within the game (dll's and things) to "run in xx whatever xx mode".. that included the launcher and the installer and oddly enough the save game routine (savwr.dll)

I think the solution is to keep experimenting with some of the tricks, and when it eventually works you can have some kudos by posting an update to the list
