Hi, i had a maxtor harddrive on my computer, it is a 20GB. Overtime, thes messsages from windows start to appear, telling me that the harddrive is no good. It was only 20GB and i couldnt really do nothing with that much memory. So i decided to ask a friend if i could use his old parts of his old computer. So i took a Maxtor 60GB Harddrive. I replaced it, and i reformated the 60GB harddrive. But, when i started windows, it still says that the Harddrive still have 20GB. Why is this?

Does the 60GB hard drive have a 20GB partition on it?

Is your original 20GB hard drive still in your computer, and if so, did you set it as a slave and the 60GB hard drive as the master?
