can someone tell me where the iPhone stores the sound files for text and email alerts. I want to have custom sound for my iPhone
I don't see a iPhone folder in my program files folder.

It keeps them in iTunes, in the left hand pane. Look under "Ringtones".

If you want to know where the files themselves are kept (or any file in iTunes), right click the song/ringtone/etc, and select "Get Info".

In the "Summary" tab, at the bottom of the window, it will say "Where". In my case, it's in:

    C:\Users\MyUsername\Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Ringtone\Song Name.m4r
