Is there any way I can get a video I have on VHS onto my computer? Preferably without buying any hardware. I have a VCR and a video camera which used mini DV. Could I use either of those to rip it to my PC? Thanks

so what hardware have you got?

do you have a tv already?
    - you could connect the vcr to the tv, point the camcorder at the tv, play the vhs tape and record it on the camcorder...

can you connect your camcorder to your pc already?
    - then transfer the resulting file from the camcorder to the pc...

I connected some analog cables out of the VCR and into the PC. Captured it with Adobe Premiere.
